Committed to both theory and practice, the Bloustein School offers both graduate and undergraduate components of professional education and offers an adult continuing education program for practitioners and the public-at-large. Students are exposed to fundamentals of public policy, planning and administration, and ethics. Through exposure to negotiation theory and practice, and to the potential of mediation, students are encouraged to find innovative solutions to difficult problems in a world of limited resources. The School seeks to develop skilled generalists as well as specialists. It offers professional degrees in planning and public policy, and public health.

Rutgers' Mini Executive MBA: July 13-August 17,2007 (Contact Rutgers Center for Management Development, Piscataway, NJ, for information on registration, etc.)

Sanford M. Jaffe and Linda Stamato will teach a course in the above program. The course description is as follows:

Understanding negotiation and conflict management is essential for those who are, or aspire to be, leaders in their organizations. Accordingly, this course is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of negotiation (drawing from considerable research and practice) and an appreciation of the contexts in which it is used, from contract negotiation, to workplace dynamics, to managing issues and disputes within and between companies, and, the processes that build on negotiation when legitimate interests are in conflict (e.g. mediation) as well as those that substitute for it when differences cannot be voluntarily resolved (e.g. arbitration).

Rutgers' Mini Executive MBA: July 13-August 17, 2007, will be taught by Sanford M. Jaffe and Linda Stamato.
