Overview

The Funders Forum on Sustainable Gulf Coast Transformation is a network of foundations committed to assisting civil society groups and others in the Gulf Coast region of the United States to chart a more sustainable and equitable future in the aftermath of the destructive storms of 2005.

Following up on the efforts of the 2007 Funders Forum on Sustainable Gulf Coast Transformation, in November 2008, the Funders Forum Steering Commitee again convened a diverse group of stakeholders, this time in Mobile, Alabama, to discuss progress made over the previous year and challenges which remained.  The theme of the 2008 gathering was "Innovation and Sustainability."
