Rasika was previously a consultant to energy and urban infrastructure sector companies and has worked on projects involving feasibility studies, entry and growth strategy, competition analysis and bid process advisory. As a management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and later with KPMG, in India, Rasika has worked extensively with the Maharashtra State Electricity Board successor companies, Regulatory Commission and the Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority. She was also a part of India Smart Grid Forum's 2012 study for the inclusion of smart grid under the Ministry of Power's XII 5 year plan.
Rasika has published in energy publications such as the Infraline, Asian Power, Intelligent Utility and EnergyCentral. She has been a speaker on energy infrastructure issues in the 2010 and 2008 PowerGen India and Central Asia conference. While working for Reliance Energy, she has also served as a faculty member for USAID's distribution reforms training programme.
Rasika holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Mumbai University's Sydenham Institute of Management and a chemical engineering bachelors degree from the Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur University.
