Eric Tuvel is a Instructor at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University and is a Research Associate at the Rutgers Center for Green Building. His research interests include the connections between economic growth and environmental sustainability. In particular, he is interested in job creation through the expansion and development of industries that consider the life cycle of products and reducing the waste stream. With the Rutgers Center for Green Building he contributed to the NJ Green Home Remodeling Guidelines and the NJ Green Building Manual. These projects suggest best practice strategies for green building and renovation, but are focused on those that promote energy efficiency in keeping with State of New Jersey policy objectives. Throughout his work, he is concerned with the visual display of information. In a world where people are constantly marketed to it is important to understand the ways in which people consume information. Eric uses his background in Graphic Design to inform his planning and policy research.
