All faculty, staff, and students are assigned a Rutgers unique identifier known as a NetID, comprised of initials and a unique number (e.g. jqs23). In order to access many of the electronic services available to you at Rutgers, such as Sakai, MyRutgers, and REGIS, you need to activate your Rutgers NetID.
If you are new to the university, after you have filled out your paperwork, you should get an email asking you to activate your NetID at https://netidmgmt.rutgers.edu/netid/index.htm
PTLs who wish to keep their NetID active during the semesters they are not teaching need to fill out a Guest Account form, print it and bring it to Claire Padovano or Tamara Swedberg
If you just need access to Sakai during your off semester, contact Tamara Swedberg and she can set up your course site and add you with an email address login.
