April 4, 2008 Building Capacity in Community-Based Organizations for Brownfields Redevelopment The National Center for Neighborhood and Brownfields Redevelopment hosted a tri-state conference on the role of brownfields remediation in community revitalization. Speakers included commissioners Joseph Doria of the Department of Community Affairs and Lisa Jackson of the Department of Environmental Protection, Perth Amboy Mayor and Assemblyman Joseph Vas, Tracy Vernon, director of the Pennsylvania State Brownfield Action Teams, and Mark McIntyre of PlaNYC.
