Scholarships available for Leading from the Middle and Presentation Bootcamp

You can get up to $1,250 in scholarships to attend an upcoming Leading from the Middle program.  Leading from the Middle teaches a model of entrepreneurial, cost-effective leadership suited for professionals in planning, community and economic development and public affairs.  The program challenges your thinking about power, influence, communication, and planning. It gives you tools to put your knowledge to practice.  It gives you opportunities to explore real leadership challenges facing your organization or community in a supportive and results-oriented environment.

The New York program starts in late January.  The New Jersey program starts in March.  For more information, please go to http://www.theleadinginstitute.org/lm

Because we want PDI Network members to succeed during the recession, we're extending to you the $50 scholarship to Presentation Bootcamp.  Use promotion code: TL-LP

Presentation Bootcamp is an intense, one-day session to help you become a more effective and persuasive speaker.  The skills you learn will help you whether you are presenting to a small group or an auditorium full of people.  All participants receive an assessment of their presentation skills and a copy of Leading from the Middle: Strategic Thinking for Planning and Community Development Professionals.   Register or learn more.

Leading from the Middle book available

Leading from the Middle: Strategic Thinking for Planning and Community Development Professionals  is the same book used by Fellows in the Leading from the Middle program.  Learn new ways of thinking about power, influence, strategic communications and connecting values with planning.  Learn more cost-effective ways to evaluate programs and policies, manage meetings, build strong partnerships and manage resistance.  Explore ways to be more effective and productive in dynamic and diverse environments.

Leading from the Middle is $25.   Proceeds go to support the work of The Leading Institute and the Professional Development Institute.
