Wayne Koehler
Wayne is currently in his fourth year of undergraduate study as a Rutgers College Class of 2008 student at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. In addition to pursuing a major in planning and public policy, he is also completing a minor in geography. Wayne was a founding member of the Edward J. Bloustein Public Service Association (EJBPSA) Undergraduate Student Organization, which was established during the fall of 2006. He currently serves as the President, after serving as the Treasurer during the organization’s first year. Wayne also serves as the Vice President of the Rockoff Hall Apartment Board, the Treasurer of the Roosevelt Institution, and is an active member for the Rutgers University New Student Orientation and Rutgers Undergraduate Geography Society. During the summer of 2006 Wayne interned for Edison Township in the Construction Code Enforcement Office and the Planning and Zoning Department. He currently has an internship with New Brunswick Development Corporation, which he began in January 2007. Wayne’s interests focus on smart growth, transit-oriented development, and urban revitalization. He plans on pursuing a Master in City and Regional Planning and his career goals center on working for a development company.

Nina Arutyunyan
I am a senior and enrolled in the 5 year BS/MPH program at the UMDNJ-School of Public Health. I am also a history double major. Women's health is a a topic of interest for me and something I would like to pursue in my public health career. Currently I do my work study at the UMDNJ-Women's Health Institute. Currently I am a treasurer for EJBPSA, and initially served as secretary when the club was established last fall.

Matt Kaplan
Matt is currently a third year planning and public policy major with a double minor in Spanish and philosophy. Along with his position as the Professional Development Chair in EJBPSA, Matt is also the Event Coordinator for Rutgers? volunteer Big Buddy Program which pairs Rutgers students with students from Lincoln Elementary School in New Brunswick in a mentoring program. Matt is also very active in Barack Obama?s national campaign and has organized events in New Brunswick in coordination with other efforts around the state. He has worked for both the New Brunswick Parks Department as well as the New Brunswick Development Corporation. A perspective Masters Program student, Matt enters his junior year with strong interests in environmental and regional planning, as well as urban design and development.

Carolina Lozada
Carolina is a rising senior majoring in Public Health at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and minoring in Spanish and Translation. Carolina is very involved in the Rutgers Community and outside. She has been the president of the Latin American Womyn's Organization (L.A.W.O) for the past two years. She has managed to help organize programs and symposiums such as: Latinas and Healthcare and Latinas and Politics. These major events have allowed her explore a career surrounding public policy. Also, her experience as a medical interpreter has allowed her to work with underserved populations and has enabled her to learn more about her language skills. Carolina is a Project L/Earn graduate of 2006, which is a program that focuses on undergraduate minority research at the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging Research. In this program she was able to research and use analytical data to write a paper on The Effect of Mental Health Status, Insurance and Cultural Barriers on Primary Care Utilization Among Latinos. This summer Carolina had the opportunity to be part of the Hispanic Interns in Community Service Program and Latino Leadership Fellowship funded by the Center for Hispanic Policy Research and Development (CHPRD). The goal of this program is to encourage students to pursue a career in policy making and implementation. Carolina's involvement and dedication to the program allowed her to be the recipient of the CHPRD and PSE&G scholarship. Carolina is currently the community service chair or the Edward J. Blounstein Public Service Association and a Resident Assistant for the Douglass Campus. In the future she wishes to pursue a master's on maternal and child care to improve access of healthcare for children and mothers.

Kristamarie Collman
Kristamarie Collman is a fourth year undergraduate at Douglass College, where she is a public health major at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and a minor in biology. Krista, the Public Relations Chair for the Edward J. Bloustein Public Service Association (EJBPSA) Undergraduate Student Organization, also serves as the Public Relations Chair for the Minority Association for Pre-Health Students (MAPS), and is involved in Phi Sigma Pi, a national honor fraternity. Over the past summer, Krista participated in the Weill Medical College of Cornell University Summer Travelers Research Fellowship Program, where she was able to further learn about addressing major gaps in research, health care, health policy, and preventative measures. Her interests focus on disparities, health policy, and health administration.

Lauren DiBiase
Lauren is currently in her fourth year of undergraduate coursework as a Rutgers College Class of 2008 student at the Edward J.Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, and is a public health major. She has been a member of the Edward J. Bloustein Public Service Association(EJBPSA) since the organization first began and is now the history chairperson. Lauren is also a member of the Scarlet Key Society which gives campus tours to potential students and their parents. Over the summer Lauren worked at a hospital in South Jersey where she was able to interact with healthcare professionals while learning about various hospital policies and procedures. She will be completing her senior year practicum at the New Jersey Center for Public Health Preparedness in New Brunswick. Lauren's academic interests include disease prevention, healthcare policy and health administration.

Sofia Del Papa
Sofia Del Papa is currently in her fourth year of undergraduate coursework as a Douglass College Class of 2008 student at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. She is pursuing certificates in Housing and Community Development as well as Real Estate. She serves as the Social Outreach Chairperson for the Edward J. Bloustein Public Service Association (EJBPSA) Undergraduate Student Organization. Sofia is interning at Sitar Company / ONCOR International and volunteers with the Institute for Children with Cancer and Blood Disorders. Before being admitted to the planning and public policy major at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Sofia was an architecture major at Syracuse University. She studied abroad in Australia last summer, focusing on Australian Growth and Development. Her general planning interests include community development, commercial real estate, and real estate law.
